  • Nannypreneurs here refer to home-based nannies / babysitters, home-based child care centres, and live-in confinement ladies.

General

  • Nannypreneurs are required to abide by the Child Protection Policy set by the sitterLUV babysitting platform.

  • Nannypreneurs are mandated to report children suspected to be physically, sexually, emotionally or psychologically abused to the Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysian Department of Social Welfare or general hospitals throughout Malaysia.

  • Failure to do so may result in your Nannypreneur account being suspended or banned from the sitterLUV babysitting platform.

Protecting Children’s Privacy

  • With the threat of deepfake pornographic video on the rise, it important to protect the privacy of children.

  • Pictures or videos with children’s face are not allowed to be uploaded on the sitterLUV babysitting platform, unless the children’s faces are pixelated or covered with smiley icons. Any picture or video violating this policy will be removed from the platform without notice.

  • Pictures or videos with children’s faces are not allowed to be uploaded on social media platforms or shared via any other platform without prior consent from parents.

 Protecting Children From Negligence

  • As a Nannypreneur, you are responsible for the safety of children entrusted to you by parents. Hence, you are required to:

    • Attend to the needs of children under your care, personally; and

    • Ensure that you must not, in any circumstances, leave children entrusted to you, under the care of another person other than you.

  • To reduce the chances of mishap due to negligence, you are required to abide by the rules set by the Malaysian Department of Social Welfare, as follows:

    • Home-based nannies/babysitters must not have more than 3 children under their care;

    • Home-based child care centres must not have more than 9 children under their care; and

    • The total number of children allowed includes your own children that are under your care.

Protecting Children Against Abuse

  • Should you be aware of, or suspect that an abuse — whether physical, sexual, emotional or psychological — is taking place, you are required to make a police report or seek assistance from the Malaysian Department of Social Welfare or general hospitals throughout Malaysia.

  • You may also reach out to non-governmental organizations for help, such as Yayasan Chow Kit, P.S. the Children, Agape Vision, Childline, etc.
